Sharing the CICO Books catalogue with you... Craft Book Perfection

The cover of the catalogue itself is just lush - so inspirational.
This is from Ryland Peter & Small.
I find it hard to sell books in my online shops as i cannot compete with Amazon! But i have LOVED the books i have sold in the past.
This has to be the most exciting looking book for me ^^ Chloe Owens.
Scroll down a few blog posts from here and you can see a few of the awesome toys she made that were displayed on the Cico Stand at the NEC Birmingham 2014. <<< go here, you'll sigh and cry.
This 'Letter Art' Book was also very inspirational and doing STUFF with letters is still on trend. <<< and you will thank me muchly for sending you here to Clare Youngs site.
The fact i rarely have time to quilt ANYthing or sew ANYthing, will not deter me from purchasing yet another quilting book. YUM.
Yes, do go here >>>>>
i have her other books and she just inspires. Beautiful work and 'achievable' not just 'aspirational'.
You want book reviews?
Of course go over to Lupin - love me some Laura Howard
yes, probably my most favourite of all the publications available.
LOVE IT! (Denise Brown)
Both Above and Below books are the sort of beautiful and inspirational books i like to have.
In my head, my house really does look like this. Let us ignore the nasty see through FRUIT fabric curtains, one set of which is hanging precariously from a broken rail....
and lastly is "The hand printed Home" - which isn't usually my cuppa tea really.
But this book had lots of smaller craft ideas with some nice easy print techniques and it really caught my eye.
So it's on my list of "yeah, want these"!
Seriously Cico books are my fav ever. They always have THEEeeeee best publications.
I won't even start you on the FOOD! books :) or maybe i will save those for another day.
By the way - these are my own picks and opinions. Nobody has paid me to advertise their stuff ya know.
Its like totes genuine friends x x x

SALE event starts today....

Pretty much everything that is going IN the sale is in - see the quantities in each listing as some are very close to sold and some have quite a few packs to sell yet.
Most of these prices are literally REDUCED TO CLEAR and cheaper than i actually paid for them.
I need the space in my head and my studio so let's get stuff moving :)
Mystery SURPRISE SUPPLIES pack has a mixture of items including stuff like the above.
A few unusual embellishments bits n pieces.... £3.90 i think?
Handmade brooches by me that were left from a gallery space.
I am no longer making items to sell so these are superbly priced at £2.50 each and maybe a little gift for you or your mum?...
Discontinued buttons have got to go.... not many of these left.

Last few PinPots are in the BigFish shop too.
I may list a few last NeedleBooks too.... but that will happen later or tomorrow.
Its been hectic getting all these edited and listed. Fingers crossed some of you Wombles can find use for this in your beautiful Spring projects xxx

2014 NEC Trade Show...

The NEC Trade Show - it is the one event in the UK for the Craft Industry....
It used to excite me a great deal more.
Now, don't get me wrong, its still a lovely event and always worth going BUT its been a long while since i have met any exciting new Suppliers :(
Still - thought you may like to see what it's about. Its like any Retail Show but, free! and free parking, and without the excessive crowds and pushing and shoving and manic pay stations in which nobody has a working terminal / adequate wifi. You get a great deal more time and attention and demonstrations on products.
Cico Books was a lush stand this year. They really made an effort with relevant props and gave the whole stand a trendy upcycled feel. LOOOOOOK! these were made by Chloe Owens (if i was told correctly) and are part of her NEW book due out...can't wait for that.

Review of Chloe's current book HERE:
And look what was on display.... only our good chum LUPIN's books
^^ link above clicks through to Lupin's blog where she reviews loads of gorgeous books.
I could have bought many many great publications... still might!?!
I was toying with the idea of stocking some BOOOOtiful patches.
Embroidered patches as seen below....
 yum yum!
But i also liked her use of the embroidery hoops to make artwork for children.
A simple yet effective project.
Then i got carried away with more embroidery hoop displays :)
They are an awesome way to display favourite fabrics, for sure. I could play with embroidery hoops all day and night.
AND look who i bumped in to... Victoria Peat from Little Black Duck:
OK, i totally arranged to meet her there, it was not a chance encounter. Last time we made physical friendship contact was at Jo-Anns in Florida USA (dahling)
 SO, here's the skinny:
Let me get the SALE DAY underway this Saturday. Let me shift old stock and make some space, then how about we have a few *new* products?
How about we expand the Wool Felt after all? and get new colours and new sheet sizes and make all that better?... watch this space my beauties... x x x
