So many ribbons...

Much fun this past week :)
Updating some of the ribbon listings in the shop.
Some of these are the same ribbons for sale but in a new combination.
And some of them are new ribbons entirely!
I also have a huge job ahead of me, getting all the remnant ribbons cut and folded to sell off in random mix bags. I hope this will make up the bulk of my January sale 2016 - so, watch this space....
All of the trimmings pictured in groups are how they are listed to sell - because selling ribbon in tiny amounts is not at all cost effective to sell or buy!
I hope you enjoy how i have styled them.
I bought myself some wee Baker Twine packs too.
I have quite a few crafty plans for this little lot.

Annnnnd - ever popular... the GB ribbon is still in stock.
God Save the Queen :)

Rainy Day - mini fabric envelopes....

last week....
I bought various bits n pieces from this actual real life - go in the door and be inside the shop, shop.
Items included a wooden envelope template makey thingy. I LOVE a quick easy crafty doo-da.
**Link clicks you away to Berylune online**
***i also FB'd my trip there so go see it on my FB page***
And it was rainy. I had already been super and had a long few hours on the bike soooo i treated myself to some crafty hours and a pot of tea. "I wonder" said i "could i make fabric envelopes"
and so i set to....
I firstly bonded the fabric to some wonderweb stuff. To give it shape and structure.
I also had to glue the pieces closed. I suppose i could hand sew them - if i had more patience. But i didn't. They hold up pretty well just stuck with some cheap stick glue :)
Then i had fun making some tag cards to pop inside. Also using stickers me n my girl bought
(to share!!) You knoooooow me i LOVE a tag anything. tags tags tags tags.
and then i played with different ways of closing the envelopes....
LoL ( i hate that expression, but it seems less offensive printed on a pink heart sticker and adorning a bit of Liberty-esque fabric) LoL :)))
Then i was like "oh yeeeaaaahhh i could use an eyelet. Tres cool"
so i did - very quick and easy. Happy little Crafter.
So - go to Berylune (real or virtual)
and have a go yourself? very quick. and then send REAL post - to people you know and love.
It is exactly what i did after this. I wrote real letters and then i sent them in the post!

yay! New Felt Colours...

THIS is what i wanted all along :)
I loved (and still love) the wool felt - how it feels and all the lush heathered colours.
But i wanted a greater range of my Craft felt to sell.
And now i have some!! They finally created new colours....

As alllllways - the colours are very hard to convey. All monitors vary so what i see is not what you see.
And let's face it - eyes vary!
What you see is different to what i see - that is the beauty of life.
Above is part of the new JEWEL range = Thistle.
All colours are fully described in the shop FuzzyFish
This is Honey Mustard - i am leaving it as Mustard. It is a French very slightly browned yellow as opposed to the 2 bright yellows i already stock in this range.
Do not be fooled by this photograph.
This is SQUASHED BERRY and is very rusty / russet / autumn / natural and not RED as it appears here. part of the Woodland Range.
Lush Jewel Tones together: Circus Pink + Teal + Mustard
 And very soft pastel MINT!
There are many greens now - see below! and i have done my best to describe them all in each listing.
This Set has a half metre of each of the 6x greens now available.
Now we have a wider choice of shades for our natural projects - so happy about that.
Bear with me :)
As i update all the shop listings so you can shop in HALF METRE increments.
and also i need to make up the new Swatch Sheets ASAP.
And organise the new colours into the A4 packs and mini sheet packs.
So much to do! But so worth it.
Glorious happy felt!

CLEARANCE >>> The Wool Felt is on it's way out!

 Gotta Go.
Gotta Go.
Really has gotta go now!
All this lush wool blend felt has got to shift on out so i can use the shelving space for the *new* colours in the Craft Felt range.
It was just too muddled for me to sell the softy wool felt so i am going to re-jig and just sell the acrylic felt in more colours and brilliant bargain packages.
 I haven't got loads left...
for example:
9m of the chocolate and of the pumpkin - at the top stock end.
2m and 4m of white / pea / pistachio at the bottom end of the stock.
It is reduced to £8.00 and being sold by the metre only.
If there are any half metres at the end i might list them, or sell some scrap bags OR... keep them for myself to make something cosy this Winter :)
If you are a regular wool felt customer of mine, i apologise xxx
But as you probably know you can buy this lovely felt elsewhere.

It's my birthday - what's all the fuss about?

Tomorrow, i am 40.
That is what all this fuss is about.
I am so relieved to be passing through, what feels like a gateway of sorts.
I am grateful for all the experiences i have had. They have built me into the person i am today. And i think i am a pretty good person as it happens.
This is what '40' has done for me. I am unapologetically happy with who i am.
I feel i have now earned the right to a few things i have waited so long for:
- to stop hurting about the past
- to stop apologising for who i am
- to stop trying to be 'better'
 - to accept that i am loved and to return that love tenfold.
I am a Strong woman - strong physically, strong in integrity and character and opinion!
I care about my life - i care about me... for the first time EVER! I care about who i am and what i have to offer. It makes me teary in a way but i have stopped grieving for that young lady who hated herself so much. I have often wished i could go back to the younger me - as i am now - and tell her... "You are more than enough"
But i am 40! and i am now leaving that in my past and giving thanks to the fact that i am here. Because there have been so many occasions i never thought that i would be or that i deserved to be.
So, how did i get to 40? Other than generally reminding myself to breath in and breath out every single second, of every single day?
** L O V E **
If i am to pick one thing that i am most grateful about and the 'thing' that has saved me over and over and over again - it is love.
The greatest gift that i have been given is the utterly unshakeable foundation of a family who love me.
No. Matter. What.
My family and my closest friends are who define me completely.
Because we are all Fuck-Ups, in our own ways and at different times.
None of us are perfect and we all make stupid mistakes.
It's just that, when you are in a Team... it's easier to tidy up. It's easier to see those mistakes and then go back and try fixing them. Because having people on MY SIDE is what gives me my true strength.
And when you feel and know that you are loved - it makes you feel brave!!
And that bravery helps me go on and be a better person. A woman with truly good things to share with the rest of the world.
So, yes, 40 really matters to me.
Happy Birthday to me.
Wonderful, Happy, Strong, Loving, Lov-able me!!!!

A Scottie Dog won Crufts!!

This is the day we bought our Scottie home from the Rescue Centre!
He was so nervous and did not want to come too close to anyone.
We gave him a safe place under a unit and left him to find his own place in our crazy little family.
Who would have thought i would own a Scottie Dog!?
i was always keen for a big dog that i could go running with. Having had a Labrador previous i was used to a whole different dog :)))
Anyways - Scottie's have had good press of late...
Walking out the athletes at the Commonwealth Games...
AND 2015 - a lady Scottie Doggy won CRUFTS! Best in Show!!
That is so fun. And now they will probably increase in popularity...
But that worries me as these are very particular dogs with quite sensitive needs.
I hope this doesn't lead to more of these babies abandoned in Shelters hoping for a Rescue family.

We've had a great deal of fun over the years. We have been on many holidays and walked and walked and walked in many fresh and exciting places. It is a privilege to be the human to a Scottie Baby (indeed to any domestic creature)
AND i even manage to go running with him!!
We think he was waiting for us at The Dogs Trust. He was always destined for us.
He completes us!!
And a Scottie Dog won Crufts 2015!!? well, we are not in the least surprised.

New Stock in... getting busy... loving the sunshine!!

Just spent the day unpacking various new orders.
Inevitably they are wrong and not quite right and a little bit sideways but we are all trying to do our best in business, from the manufacturers up to the consumers!
I have replace the GIANT aqua button with a darker / more greeny teal... NOT that you'd know it form the photography. They all look wildly different to reality, despite my best attempts at photo editing.

And a new *Limited Edition*
Jewel Wool Felt pack - larger A4 sheets x7 heathered / natural looking jewel colours. These are just lush and go so well together. I am happy to offer you these!

And the Sunshine has been just wonderful, so happy to see it, making all my running and walking all the more enjoyable. I have been on lots of sporty adventures and have some really long 40 - 60 mile walks coming up so i am extremely excited about that.
So much to do though still, where do i find the time?
I don't know - but i will! i always do :)
The studio is a very relaxing place to work, listening to my playlists and watching the garden unfold for Spring.
i am 40 - yes FORTY!! next week so i may feel compelled to post a Blog special for y'all.
Read it or not! Tis up to you, but i am here, if you want me xxx
